Why can you not offer instant payment for my vehicle?

Although most of our dealers do offer instant payment, some of the larger dealerships use accounting systems that process payments within a particular period or at a specific time of day. Some dealers use the CHAPS system, which will pay on the same working day before 3pm. Other dealers use the BACS system for money transfers, which pays within two to three working days.

If your vehicle is on finance, processing the payment will also take longer. Finance companies typically use clearing houses to perform fraud checks before processing payments. These financial checks will usually take a minimum of one to two working days to process.
