1. How do I promote my profile and what are the benefits? 

Promoting your profile helps distinguish your car from other profiles, giving your car a smart edge in the auction. This promotion signals to our network of over 7,500 verified dealers that you are serious about selling your car, which we know is something our dealers look for when making their bids.

While we cannot guarantee results, we know that dealers like serious sellers, so a profile that has been promoted may receive higher engagement or a quicker sale.

2. What do I get for the £29.99 fee?

For a flat fee of £29.99, we will add a promoted badge to your vehicle within the auction. We also let dealers specifically filter for these profiles, making it easier to discover your car.

3. What happens to my car when it’s ready to sell?

With our network of 7,500 trusted dealers, your car is put up for a daily auction, alongside up to 2,000 other vehicles, where dealers can see your car’s profile and place their bids. Dealers will see your guide price, giving them an idea of the amount you're happy to accept for your car. 

As dealers bid against each other to buy your car, you may receive far more than this amount. Our daily sales are highly competitive, with dealers nationwide competing to give you the best price. It’s no surprise that over 50% of cars that go for sale at the guide price on Motorway achieve more than expected! You can now pay to promote your profile, to help attract even more attention during the auction. 

When dealers have finished bidding to buy your car and the daily sale ends, we'll share your highest offer on the same day. Once you’ve accepted your highest offer, the dealer will be in touch to arrange a convenient time and date to collect your car. All dealers we work with will collect your car for free and will arrange a fast, free payment into your bank account to complete the sale.

4. If my car doesn’t sell the first time, will it stay promoted in future auctions?

Yes. If your car doesn't sell in its first auction and we relist it for a future auction, your promoted badge will remain active. You only pay the £29.99 fee once for that specific vehicle.

5. Does promoting my profile guarantee my car selling?

No. A promoted profile is an additional way to showcase your vehicle during the auction. However, your car still needs bids from dealers to sell, and we can’t guarantee that you will get this.

6. Does the payment link expire?

To ensure your car is ready for the auction, you must complete your payment by 4pm on the day of your auction. The payment link will expire after 4pm, as our auction starts at 4.30pm.

7. Will my car be seen by more dealers?

The badge makes your car more noticeable to dealers browsing the auction to help it stand out. Dealers can also find your car by filtering specifically for promoted profiles. 

8. Will I be refunded if my car doesn’t sell?

Because the fee is for a promoted badge during the auction process, we only offer refunds in very specific circumstances. You ARE NOT eligible for a refund if:

• Your car went into the auction but received no bids, did not meet the reserve price, or if you chose not to accept an offer. Additionally, we cannot offer a refund if a dealer cancels the sale after the auction has concluded.
